Too many HVAC Contractors will come to a service call with the intention of trying to sell you a whole new air conditioning system. We are experts in troubleshooting and we will try to repair your system if possible. If the repair costs are too high, then we will explain your options and compare the cost and lifespan of repair vs. a new system.

The quality of the install is highly important. I go to alot of installs and I can tell right away they didn’t use good quality material. Either that or they don’t use the proper material to do the install correctly or some material is missing altogether. For example, a lot of installers won’t put bother to put hurricane clips on the outdoor unit.

The difference between a new air conditioning system that runs reliably for a very long time vs. a system that breaks down and needs replaced much sooner is in the DETAILS. Some mistakes we see all the time include:

• They don’t use a vacuum pump to pull all the air out of the lines before they distribute the freon through them.
• They don’t conduct the proper measurements to make sure the proper amount of freon is in the system.
• They won’t look at the copper pipe to see if they are the correct size. If they’re not the correct size, the a/c system loses its efficiency.
• They don’t look to see if the return ducts are properly sized. A lot of the higher efficiency systems require either additional or larger ducts or they won’t work correctly.
